Balloon which may be made of Mylar or rubber are one of the most popular party decors around. They inflate and sometimes are filled with helium to make them float. Balloons decorations are very popular for house parties, birthday parties and even for weddings. Some balloons have writings in them others are just plain, but regardless of your preference, everybody loves balloons. Balloons are so fun that there are even performers who specialize in making shapes out of them. They twist elongated balloons to imitate the shape of familiar objects, mostly animals. The entertainers I speak of are fittingly called twisters.

The designs created by twisters using a single balloon are usually shapes of animals Most twisters first master a common set of animals which are easy to make such as dogs, cats and giraffes. The risk of popping the creation can be the complexity of using a single balloon. The number and sizes of the design may also be more limited with single balloon modeling making the people more difficult to impress.
What makes children really jump for joy is the multiple balloon modeling. Over the years there bigger and bigger models using more and more balloons. Because the twister really are artists, their art are now called balloons sculpting. Some twisters are not contented with knee-high animal shaped they create balloon decorations larger than an adult.
In an event that had a centerpiece of balloons in Singapore, one twister created a Transformers robot character made of balloons. Multiple balloon modeling can be done from two balloons; usually in different colors, to as many balloons as the design requires. Some balloon sculpting use a platform to support very large designs but smaller designs are usually made of twisted balloons only. The larger designs are usually used as a center piece while smaller designs are still used in the twisters' acts to entertain guests.
Very different skills are required by the two types of balloon sculpting regardless of how similar they may seem. Professionals even make their own one of a kind set of equipments to give their creations an edge from other twisters.
